Sue Jones Bursary

Founded in 2008 in memory of Cllr Sue Jones, who served as a County Councillor for Mochdre for 25 years. Cllr Sue co-founded the Mochdre Community Council, served as a local Justice of the Peace and was the final Mayor of Colwyn Borough Council in 1996.

The annual bursary is awarded to an individual under the age of 18 to support their aspirations and achievements. Successful candidates will be encouraged to demonstrate a commitment to excellence in their chosen field, whether it be Sport, Art, Sciences, or any other discipline. Mochdre Community Council would also encourage any candidate to demonstrate how the bursary will benefit themselves and the local community.

The annual bursary amount is £350.
